Our practice is led by Chandra Sikes, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of experience in mental health care.
Her journey began at age 18, working for an LPC and a local domestic violence shelter. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from Angelo State University in 2012, where she was invited to participate in an exclusive clinical psychology course, completed a seminar in research focused on comprehension and gender, and interned as a counselor for freshman psychology majors. After graduation, she worked in crisis intervention before becoming an LVN in 2016, focusing on long-term care.
Chandra continued advancing her career, earning her RN from Cisco College in 2020, then working as a hospice RN for over 4 years. In 2024, she completed her MSN at Herzing University, where she was awarded a competitive research grant studying how breastfeeding education impacts postpartum mental health. She became board-certified as a PMHNP by the ANCC June 2024..
Her specialities include ADHD, women’s mental health, depression, anxiety, insomnia, and veteran care. She is supervised by Dr. Paul Hamilton who has over 38 years of experience in psychiatry, pharmaceuticals, and education.
